Through ChemTalk Office Hours, students have the opportunity to learn from qualified chemistry and math instructors while studying alongside peers from across the nation. Our sessions are thoughtfully organized to promote skill development in areas such as pattern recognition, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Each session is conducted virtually over Zoom utilizing interactive whiteboards. Students can meet at any time during open drop-in office hours or weekly for concept review sessions. In every case, we delve into curriculum content aligned with national standards. By participating in our program, students can expect to not only enhance their mastery of chemistry but also cultivate valuable skills that will serve them will in future academic and professional pursuits.Â
Types of ChemTalk Office Hours
Drop-In Sessions
Drop by during office hours and join a qualified ChemTalk Academic Coach to review your questions and help you prepare for exams. Small groups are limited to eight students at a time with a student to teacher rotating Q&A system, so everyone gets a turn.Â

Core Concept Sessions
Core Concept sessions are dedicated chemistry unit review lessons with interactive practice problems that follow national chemistry curriculum standards. These are larger group sessions that are focused on covering unit concepts to prevent students from falling behind or serve as reinforcement for a stronger chemistry foundation.
